Aluminum Oxide Flap Disc
Flap Discs are one of the most versatile grinding and finishing abrasives for applications ranging from heavy stock removal to surface blending and finishing. They offer right angle grinding versatility with a product that can grind and finish in a single operation. The abrasive flaps are adhered to a rigid backing plate. It is the back plate that provides stability during operation with cooler cut, less vibration and smoother finish without gouging. Flap discs are well-suited to stock removal through blending applications.
Aluminum Oxide Flap Disc has a hard, durable grain and a strong initial cut rate, and it offers fast stock removal and consistent performance. Aluminum oxide is ideal for workpieces made of materials such as steel and cast iron, as well as for all-purpose use. It is not shelf-sharpening, however - its single crystals will dull during use. Overall, it provides a blend of performance and value.
